Being a stay at home mom <-- Updated

Being a SAHM (Stay at home mom)

Dosen’t mean that we can’t to do “Things” We go on Vacations, we go to Disney world, we shop in normal stores (Target, the Mall, gymboree Pottery barn etc.) We go to the zoo, we go out for dinners, and we go to the movies. We don’t stay home so we aren’t paying for childcare; we stay home because it’s the Best for our child/ren. We don’t cook at home just to be wise with money but to feed our family better. We bake because we love to and again once again better for you. We buy a lot of Organic because it’s better for you. Being a stay at home mom doesn’t mean we don’t get dressed every day; Ok some days it’s getting dressed at noon but we still get dressed as if we we’re going to leave the house. Being a stay at home mom doesn’t mean that we are always gone during the day; some days we stay home all day and veg out. Being a stay at home mom doesn’t mean that we have our eyes on the child every second. Being a stay at home mom doesn’t mean we stand down to our children and let them rule the house. Being a stay at home mom doesn’t mean that dad doesn’t cook dinner, mop the floor, take out the trash, wash the dishes and washes laundry ever. At least in my home Dad/Hubs chips in here and there with household chores or cooks dinner when mom doesn’t want to after a fun/tiring filled day with the child/ren. Being a stay at home dosen’t make us look down on others who have to work and send their child to daycare; or those who CHOOSE to work and send them off to Daycare.

One thing is for sure is a stay at home mom CHOOSES to stay home and raise their child/ren. We learn very quickly how to manage our homes to live within our means and how to feed our child/ren to the best of our cooking abilities and yet still have a life outside of these walls we call HOME.
NOTE: Being a stay at home mom doesn't mean that we are always away or always home. But in General being a stay at home mom is just meaning we are almost always with our kids and doing what their schedules demand of us. ALL SAHM moms need cell phones because you never know where we are at..J/K but useful tip.

Pattie, here is a link to Steven's Beekeeping group-
http://beehuman.blogspot.com/
It is a good resource if you are considering keeping bees. E-mail me any questions that come up and I will get them to Steven. (:
Frankly I am a little afraid of the bees, although they seem quite friendly!
