Hi/low moments for the week
This post is part of "Hi/Lo Thursday" on the Riggs Family Blog. Check our their blog to read everyone else's "Hi/Lo" posts.
Our Highs
We have started teaching etiquette at the table and KK is doing awesome with it. He's using his butter knife to help put food onto his fork or spoon if it just keeps sliding..doing this so he will stop using his hands. Using his napkin instead of the back of his hand. Not talking with food in his mouth.learning to remember to wait until he's done before talking. We have been doing it all week and so far this part of table manners are sticking very well. Way to go KK.
Our Lows
KK and I coming down with Sinus congestion which end up making us sound like seals. We are recovering from it now.
2nd tire issue happened again with the same tire we just replaced. I was going grocery shopping and when I got out of the car I heard this HISSING noise. I looked saw nothing but knew it was my car. Called I and he and KK had to come to my rescue. He sent me in to shop and then brought KK in once he got there so he could look at the tire. He took off the tire and puts on the spare. As he was looking at the tire he saw a puncture point. What was the odds of that. Going to the same location and the same tire a few weeks apart. BLAH.
Now I have a spare on until tomorrow when Hubby is off to take it in to get a new tire put on AGAIN.

New Sign for our Kitchen.
Well something hit me the other day and now I am redecorating our kitchen. My style has once again changed.
Today while out and about looking for some inspiration for some decor for our kitchen when I came across this sign. "All Because two people fell in love." We are very family orientated and when I saw this it just had to come home with me. Our family is a result of the two of us falling in love. Not a day goes by that I don't thank GOD for my husband. He's my Best Friend and Prince charming. Together we are making our dreams come true.

Praying for Abby
If you all don't know about Abby click on the link on the side of my blog; it has her photo.
Abby is starting the toughest part of her treatment today. Just hold her up today as she starts this very intense chemo. This Chemo phase is noted to last for 60 days but due to the complications she has had with the first mild part of her treatment she could be going through this alot longer just to get her though it.
Please just pray for Abby today.

Another car issue..VENTING
WOW this car is just breaking. Suddenly my back tire went flat yesterday. All seemed fine then we left walmart and people told us our tire was low. So we filled it up at the gas station. My gut told me it wasn't going to be a slow leak. Sure enough this morning I went and checked and now it's totally FLAT. Well dude I hate this car. I have my thoughts about this whole make of car in which I will keep to myself. Now the hubby is off to get a tire replacement just 2 weeks after getting the cars tie rods on the front replaced.
Nice car after we are done with it but the one who sold it to our friends who gave it to me for watching their daughter we're taken advantage of. Makes me sick but I know the whole thing esp with the front tires issue that could of been life threatening had I had been in tune with the car and having hubby check into the issues we could of been gone now. Just put it this way front tires inners we're worn to the metal wire things in the tires. both sides were like that. When they replaced the tires hubby was told to be thankful nothing had happened.
Odyssey here we come..sooner then later

WHAT..We spent that much on none important stuff
I just did our yearly where did the money go and all I can say is I am in shock. I don't have much to say other then I am in total shock. if you have never done this maybe it's time to sit down and track your MAIN every day life stuff. with saying that I am talking about
Mortgage/rent
Car loans
Power
Cable
Phone
Insurances not paid out of your paycheck
Food
education
sports/music/art etc that is something you do all year long
and whatever else you may have but only count the stuff in which you can't live without. Yes Lady's we can live without getting our hair cut every few weeks so that doesn't count in this fee
Take your yearly income and start minus-ing your MAIN bills and see how much money you would of had left had it not been just so easily tossed out with those fast food restaurants (Brown bag it).
I have been doing this for the past few years but this year I think another one of those growing things happened and now I am bothered by what I see.
In total shock still. I challenge you all to do this. it's something GOOD to see might help ya.

Valentine hair bows are coming
If anyone likes to get hair bows for their princesses I am in the works of making some Valentine bows.
If you don't know about my bows here is a little info about them.
Hair bows for adoption. I make hair bows to help fund our adoptions. 100% of profit goes towards our adoption fund. In the event we don't use all the funds for our own adoptions that money will be donated to a charity of our choice but I will say will HELP children.
I came up with this as a way to raise money because I have always wanted to make hair bows but we'll all I have is a son and well hair bows in his hair just doesn't fly to well. So after talking to a dear friend of mine she asked me "how about making them to help bring home your daughters?". A light bulb went on and now I have been making them for about a year now and have sold 208 bows or clip sets. My bows and clip sets range from $5-$12. I Ship within 7 days of payment. I expedite orders for an $1.00 per bow or clipset and those ship out within 24 hours. I recommend priority shipping but will ship standard. I even match to the best that I can to any outfit from photographs of the outfit. Gymboree/Baby Gap/Kid Gap/Janie and jack/The Children's place are M2M.
I also do gift wrapping for $5.00 (Includes Box/Tissue paper/Wrapping and message)
If you wanna know more please write me at plongwell@cfl.rr.com
