Wii EA Active 30 day challenge...Day 1-3
We got the Ea Active for the wii on the 19th and I had to see what it was all about. I saw previews about this about 2 months ago and it caught my attention to I wrote it's release date on the calender. I love to workout and well living in FL it's too darn HOT outside after 10 AM and doesn't cool down until the sun is going down. So not getting the workout that my body is used to from my past gymnastics career. Going to the gym would be nice but right now saving money for future adoptions so I workout at home instead of paying $65 a month.
Ok so I went and picked up my preorder and came home and within an hour I had it all ready to go and I was ready for the challenge. I am starting with Med intensity..Well here we go.
Oh Yeah we have the Balance board but for my 1st 30 days I am NOT using the Balance board..so next time around I can switch it up with balance board before moving up to High intensity and starting all over again with my system
(Med Intensity w/out, Med Intensity with; High w/out, High with etc)
Day 1
All was good started with 16 exercises projected Cal burn 130cals
The workout was GREAT not too hard and not too easy. Got the heart pumping and the sweat rolling. By the end my Cal burn was 149.7 and I felt amazing.
Day 2
18 Exercises and projected Cal burn 150.6
Man I wished I would of read that Trainer NOTE to me before I started the workout..HAHA
Man this one started off GREAT and then another set after another set of KILLER squats..I mean Backward lunges, side lunges, alternating lunges, squats, inline skating (holding a squat and then having to jump over ramps) and more the list goes on. Have the 2nd set of the lunges I felt my thighs burning and starting to feel slight fatigue....I kept pushing through it as no pain just tired and I am not a quitter never have been.
Finally we ended with a good run and my cal burn was 167.1
After wards I saw that I still had 8 mins left to do for a full 30 min workout so I went and made up a 10 min workout with a projected cal burn of 84. Since I got to pick what I wanted to do I did some dance and tennis and long run etc..Was fun and not that bad as I didn't do anything that was target my just killed thighs.
I knew that I would be sore in the morning. Now it's time to get hubby started on Day 1 of the program.
So when I woke up this morning and didn't want to walk and squat for anything. Seriously hubby was making breakfast (eggs and bacon and watermelon) and I walked funny in there and planted myself on the floor on the very soft rug and chatted with him while he made breakfast. What a sweet guy I have. One thing I am shocked about he didn't poke at my sore muscles teasing me of my soreness.
Day 3
Set for a rest day but apparently this program doesn't know me. Now I know you have to have some time for rest but for me rest is when I NEED IT not when someone says oh Today is rest day...2 days into it and me being sore means yes I got a GREAT workout but working out helps to lesson the soreness..at least for me. So today I did my day 3 and the program just moved my rest day to tomorrow which will in turn will just keep rolling over until I take a rest day when I NEED IT.
14 exercises projected cal burn 119.6
Today started off Great once again as I read that trainer NOTE this time and the focus was on the back and shoulders...YEAH. WOOT WOOT my legs were going to get a rest. started with a walk and run then went on to some shoulder presses and some other arm exercises and then they hit me with this..Side lunges which I went into them saying ouch and finishes the 1st set realizing that my thighs were warmed up and not all that sore or tight. but for the most part today's focus was on the back and arms with just a few areas of lunges and working the gluts. End Cal burn 136.0
Very happy about how I felt at the end that I deiced to do another workout of my own with a projected cal burn of 100.2.
Again the 2nd workout is my personal custom 2 workout so only did things that I picked to work on...All I have to say is Bag boxing (300 hits) is a killer..got to 130 and started to get tired but Left pushing by 200 I was tired and arms felt heavy but still pushed through and made 300 in 1 min and 28 secs..Again WOOT WOOT. I did a bit of running and some inline skating and some tennis and volleyball etc. End cal burn 113.0
